Miramar Eye Specialists Medical Group is one of the five largest Ophthalmology groups in California, with 18 doctors who represent virtually all of the eye surgery and medical eye care specialties.
JOEL M. CORWIN, M.D., a Harvard-trained retinal specialist, is a principal investigator for major pharmaceutical companies and the National Eye Institute. Miramar patients receive the newest therapies for glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and vascular occlusions.
John L. Davidson, M.D., has performed laser vision correction since 1999. Dr. Davidson is the busiest cataract surgeon in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties (according to the leading manufacturer of intraocular lens implants, or IOLs). Dr. Davidson offers refractive lens exchange to minimize the need for glasses.
Daniel Ebroon, M.D. a renowned plastic surgeon, joined Miramar in May 2003. He had been an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Northwestern University for five years, where he taught 25 doctors the very specialized skill of cosmetic eyelid plastic surgery (performed to remove excess skin on the eyelids, and to remove puffy "bags" under the eyes). He is one of approximately 400 trained eyelid plastic surgeons in the world. Dr. Ebroon also offers RESTYLANE, BOTOX® and collagen treatments to smooth and soften facial lines and wrinkles.
William L. Trotter, M.D., a UCLA fellowship-trained cataract and refractive lens surgeon, has provided highly personalized care for his patients since joining our group in 2001. His publications include presentations on astigmatism-correcting toric lens implants and peer-reviewed journal articles on complicated and high-risk patients who need cataract surgery.
