ORA® Cataract Surgery

ORA assists in using Advanced Technology Lenses by ensuring precise selection and placement, leading to better visual outcomes. After cataract removal, ORA measures the eye to select the best lens shape and power. During the procedure, your surgeon can make real-time adjustments based on these measurements to optimize your vision.

Premium Cataract Lens Implants

Basic insurance intraocular lens implants do not reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses. However, for an additional investment, you may be a candidate for lenses that correct astigmatism and presbyopia, reducing your dependence on corrective eyewear. Trust our cataract surgeons to help you select a premium lens implant, allowing you to read, work on the computer, and drive without glasses.

Multifocal Intraocular Lenses

Previously, cataract lenses only corrected distance vision, requiring patients to use reading glasses. Multifocal IOLs now offer freedom from glasses by improving vision at all distances and times of day, quickly adjusting focus to meet your needs. Up to 80 percent of patients with multifocal IOLs do not need glasses.

Toric Intraocular Lenses

Toric IOLs, like AcrySof Toric, are designed for patients with astigmatism, correcting both cataracts and astigmatism with a single lens. Previously, patients needed glasses or contact lenses after cataract surgery to correct astigmatism. Toric IOLs offer a more convenient and affordable solution for your vision needs.

AcrySof ReSTOR® Intraocular Lens

The AcrySof ReSTOR® Intraocular Lens replaces the natural lens after cataract surgery using advanced apodization, diffraction, and refraction technologies. Its design allows it to focus light correctly on the retina for both near and far distances without mechanical movement. Clinical studies have shown that this lens provides good near and distance vision, increasing independence from glasses.

Monofocal Lenses

Monofocal lenses can correct cataracts but typically require patients to wear glasses or contacts for everyday activities after surgery. These lenses are suitable for cataract patients who don’t mind continuing to use corrective eyewear.
